Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our oral surgery team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing appointment schedules, ensuring efficient operations within our healthcare facility. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong clerical abilities, and familiarity with medical/dental scheduling software. The Scheduling Coordinator will be the first point of contact for patients and staff, making phone etiquette and administrative skills essential for success in this role. This shift is Monday through Friday 10 am to 6 pm. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate patient appointments effectively, ensuring optimal scheduling for both patients and provider. Utilize scheduling software to maintain accurate records of appointments and patient information. Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient inquiries, and resolving scheduling conflicts. Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized patient records. Collaborate with front desk staff to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient office operations. Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support healthcare provider and enhance overall clinic efficiency. Stay updated on medical/dental insurance practices to ensure accurate appointment documentation. Requirements Previous experience in a healthcare setting is required. Proficient in using medical scheduling software for appointment management. Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple schedules simultaneously. Ability to perform clerical tasks efficiently, including filing and data entry. Knowledge of medical/dental insurance is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
