Job Description
Coordinate functions associated with document imaging such as prep, scanning, analysis, quality control of document images, and indexing. Supervise and monitor the conversion of paper charts to scanned ima-ges including monitoring of the system hardware. Monitors daily workflow to ensure no issues or delays with getting paper documents online electronically in the Meditech system for immediate and follow-up patient care. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with successful completion of commercial courses that include computer training or have work experience in an acute care healthcare facility in Health Information Mgmt. department. Graduate of approved medical secretarial course preferred. On the job training can be substituted for candidates that are otherwise qualified with experience. Ability to operate office equipment such as scanner, copier, printer and fax. Must be detail oriented with ability to handle multiple priorities, ability to work in stressful and demanding environment, and ability to work as a team member. Must have good customer service and good communication skills. Minimum of 5 years Medical Record experience required.
