Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Patient Care Coordinator, where you will be the friendly, organized face of our practice. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to follow-up care. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments accurately using medical office management software, coordinating with providers' calendars. Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation for billing purposes. Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans, appointment details, and follow-up instructions. Maintain precise and organized patient records, updating medical histories and contact information regularly. Support medical staff by preparing examination rooms, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks. Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure all questions are addressed promptly. Qualifications Prior experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures to assist in accurate documentation and communication. Proven ability to provide excellent medical administrative support with attention to detail and confidentiality. Office experience demonstrating proficiency with scheduling systems, electronic health records (EHR), and general administrative tools. Experience in a hearing care office environment is a plus but not required. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
