Helps provide guidance for quality performance and the importance of data integrity. Coordinates staff development with departmental education coordinator and preceptors. Ensure compliance with all Joint Commission, CMS, and other governmental standards for Patient Access Processing. Major Job Functions The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time: Monitors and coordinates the daily activities of the Patient Access personnel to produce successful outcomes Maintains and prepares payroll time records and reports Interviews and recommends applicants for employment Prepares and presents performance reports to Leadership and others as necessary Assist with coverage of Patient Access areas when shortages occur and cross trains in all areas of Patient Access Provides leadership and support to all areas of patient access and is expected to be available to address any issues Conducts audits of employees work ensuring the data in the systems are accurate and complete Collaborates with management in continuous process improvements Provide training and education on policies, procedures, and systems Completes and conducts yearly evaluations Facilitate monthly department meetings and attend leadership meetings Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:
