Working Janitorial Supervisor About the Position We are looking for a dependable and experienced Working Janitorial Supervisor to lead a cleaning team at an outpatient medical clinic in Greenville, NC. This is a working supervisor position . You will be responsible for cleaning alongside the team while also making sure the assigned work is completed correctly, safely, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is someone who can lead by example, understands commercial cleaning, has strong attention to detail, and can hold a team accountable for maintaining the standards required in a medical facility. The cleaning scope specifically requires a janitorial staff supervisor to be on duty whenever janitorial staff are working in the building. Supervisor Responsibilities Lead and work alongside the cleaning team Assign and coordinate daily cleaning responsibilities Inspect completed work and correct deficiencies Ensure patient-care areas, treatment rooms, exam rooms, offices, and common areas are properly cleaned and disinfected Ensure restrooms are cleaned, disinfected, and properly stocked Monitor sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, dusting, and glass cleaning Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are properly used, cleaned, and stored Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs Make sure employees follow facility safety procedures Ensure employees follow proper procedures when cleaning spills and bodily fluids Help maintain proper cleaning standards in isolation and patient-care areas Ensure periodic cleaning duties are completed according to schedule Communicate issues, maintenance concerns, or safety concerns to management Help train new cleaning employees on proper procedures Monitor employee attendance and work performance Maintain a professional relationship with clinic personnel Make sure the facility is left clean, organized, and secure at the completion of the shift The scope requires proper handling of clinical cleaning situations, including spills, bodily fluids, isolation areas, and terminal cleaning procedures. What We're Looking For Previous commercial or medical cleaning experience preferred Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred Strong attention to detail Dependable and punctual Able to lead a small cleaning team Able to inspect and correct cleaning work Comfortable working in a medical/clinical environment Able to follow safety procedures and cleaning protocols Able to communicate professionally with management and facility personnel Able to work independently when necessary Must meet all facility security and access requirements This Is a Working Supervisor Position This is not a desk-only management position . The supervisor will spend the shift cleaning with the team , while also handling inspections, assignments, quality control, training, supplies, and accountability.
