Full-time Summary of Performance Expectations:

Plans, coordinates, and directs daily operations of the Cardiopulmonary Rehab department ensuring cost effective, efficient, and high quality rehabilitation services. This position provides leadership, supervision and oversees training of staff to promote professional growth and technical development. Also, promotes and maintains interdisciplinary relationships to support clinical services and educational opportunities. Performs clinical care as needed to include of patients referred for cardiac and/or pulmonary rehab. Develops, communicates, coordinates, implements, monitors and revises treatment plan with goal of maximizing patient's capabilities.

Education and Credentials:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in nursing, exercise physiology or another related health profession. Certified Exercise Specialist and/or Certified Program Director by the ACSM. Current NC license. BCLS for healthcare providers or completion of BCLS from the American Heart Association within one month of employment date.

Preferred:

Master's degrees in Nursing, Exercise Science, or related field. ACLS certification from the American Heart Association within three months of employment date.

Work Experience:

Required:

Three years of clinical practice in treating cardiac and/or pulmonary patients. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.

Preferred:

One year supervisory experience of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehab.
