PURPOSE OF POSITION

To oversee the clinical practices and services of the agency.

WORK SCHEDULE

Work schedule will vary per assigned duties and client needs.

PP. II. A. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 1.

Ensure continuity of care for clients. 2. Collaborates with the QM Director, Program Director and direct care staff to assure clinical expertise is available for the Substance Program. 3. Provides administrative and clinical supervision of non-medical direct care staff in the agency. 4. Ensures appropriate assessments for all clients served. 5. Ensures the implementation of best practice and emerging practice protocols within the agency. 6. Reviews the quality of services within the agency in collaboration with other Management Team. 7. Responsible for the dissemination of information within the agency. 8. Implementation of evidence-based practice models. 9. Monitor challenging cases within the agency.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITION

The Clinical Supervisor may need to work in a variety of community environments and settings. Must be able to work flexible hours.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have at least two or more years of full-time experience and direct service experience that included face to face treatment and interventions with individuals with a primary mental health or substance use disorder diagnosis. The purpose of the treatment must have also related to those diagnoses. Also, must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedures manuals and clinical documentation.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Clinical Supervisor must meet one of the following licensed discipline categories:

• Physician or Psychiatrist
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Licensed Psychologist (Doctorate Level)
• Licensed Psychological Associate
• Mastered Degree Nurse-advanced practice only (NP, PNP)
• Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist
• Certified Clinical Supervisor
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
• Licensed Professional Counselor
• A Psychiatrist or ASAM Certified Medical Director may also serve as the Clinical Supervisor

SUPER VISION RECEIVED BY CEO

Involves supervision for completion of work and standard operating procedures of establishment as well as those indicated by licensure requirements. Supervision to be administered by the CEO.
