Job Description

Bedford Commons OBGYN About Us At Bedford Commons OBGYN, our commitment to providing Uncommon Care begins with creating a welcoming and seamless experience for our patients. We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and patient-focused individual to join our team in a role that works collaboratively between our Billing Department and Front Office Team . This position will function interdepartmentally with supervision from the Billing Manager and plays a key role in ensuring new patients receive exceptional service from their first interaction with our practice. Position Summary The New Patient Registration Coordinator / Patient Access Representative is responsible for supporting new patient onboarding, appointment scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and front office support. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Communicate with new patients by phone in a professional and compassionate manner Register and schedule new patient appointments Guide patients through the registration and onboarding process Review, update, and verify demographic and insurance information for accuracy Manage incoming calls using a multi-line phone system and call queue Assist with pre-registration processes and ensure accurate data entry Audit patient accounts for accuracy of demographics and insurance coverage Maintain confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide backup support to front office operations as needed Collaborate across departments to support efficient patient access and workflow Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Previous customer service experience preferred Medical office or healthcare experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and software programs efficiently Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Schedule Full-Time Monday - Friday Office hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM No evenings or weekends Location Primary location will be our Bedford office , with occasional travel to Derry, Londonderry, or Windham offices as needed. Compensation Starting at $18.00 per hour , with compensation varying based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
