Exempt General Summary:
Instrumental point person for the organization's family counseling clinic (outpatient mental health programs and outpatient substance abuse program) responsible for supervision of grants, staff and program service delivery within the clinic. ______________________________________________________________________________
Essential Job Function:
Administrative oversight and monitoring of all programs and grants within the Family Counseling Clinic to ensure compliance with goals and objectives as per contract specifications. Provide clinical oversight of all programs within the Family Counseling Clinic ensuring "best practice" interventions and practices are used with consumers. Coordinate tasks and supervise consultants and staff of Family Counseling Clinic (Geriatric Program, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention Services). Perform timely evaluations of staff and conduct recruitment and training for new staff and consultants. Conduct all direct services for mental health clinic and domestic violence program in accordance with grants and is available for crisis consultation and management. Complete all paperwork required by various funding sources as well as statistical reports and ensure that staff submits the same in a timely manner. Complete chart documentation including, but not limited to: progress notes, treatment plans, intake forms, etc. Complete all updates. Ensure compliance with licensing and funding agency requirements and standards including LOS, outcomes, facility requirements, etc. Coordinate and ensure implementation and documentation of utilization reviews, quality assurance process and all appropriate reviews. Supervises data gathering and monitoring. Prepares monthly report to the Executive Director listing statistics, activities and program accomplishments. Annually provide the Executive Director with a report of monthly quality assurance findings and provide recommendations regarding said findings/trends and suggest modifications to clinical policies based upon findings/trends (due to ED every August). Lead group clinical supervision once weekly and trainings as required. Coordinate services with all HFC staff involved with client. Monitor outcomes of caseloads. Regularly administer client evaluations. Link clients with in-house services Develop and submit an FCC work plan and goals for each year. Responsible for grant writing, renewal packets, and reports for FCC. Ensure participation of staff in weekly clinical supervision and trainings as scheduled by coordinator. Plan, implement and evaluate all programs and services under his/her supervision and any collaborative efforts with other organizations. Ensures immediate and thorough communication to ED of contractual compliance problems via a memorandum specifying the issues, reasons, and action plans Maintain open lines of communication with supervisor and funding sources Keep all agency staff and volunteers informed of the needs of the clientele in the communities and the resources available to them. Represent the agency on designated Committees, Task Forces, Councils, etc. and ensures active participation on behalf of the agency, clients of HFC and community at large. Assist in the design and development of promotional and marketing materials/strategies related to the program. Participates in Management Team meetings, occasional Board Meetings, professional seminars/trainings and other special projects and events as required by the needs of the Programs and as requested by the Executive Director. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Must be able to set and maintain clear and appropriate boundaries with employees and monitor same between employees and consumers. Must promote confidentiality within the department. Must be able to communicate in Spanish and English (written and oral). Must have knowledge of various clinical approaches to mental health and addictions treatment and prevention. Must have knowledge of Seniors' services. Must have knowledge and be versed in Medicaid regulations, DAS licensure standards and DMHS licensure standards Must be able to supervise and lead employees with the knowledge of necessary intervention skills. Must have the knowledge of resources within the community necessary for the consumer. Must be able to promptly complete required reports using a computer. Must have strong leadership/administrative aptitude and organizational skills. ________________________________________________________________________
Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field LCSW, LMFT, or other recognized NJ certification must be secured within 12 months of employment DV certification must be secured within 3 months of employment LCADC or CADC must be secured within 12 months of employment 5 years of work experience in clinical social work 2 years of supervisory experience Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer based reporting systems Excellent oral and written communication skills required in English Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) required Requires car, valid registration, insurance and driver's license, clean driving record _______________________________________________________________________
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to travel to consumer homes, sit for an extended time with consumers and remain alert and attentive to consumer. It may require the ability to climb steps, enter consumer homes and walk short distances. It also requires the ability to perform all office duties such as using a computer, telephone and communicating with staff and consumers. ________________________________________________________________________
