The job duties include:

Complete and maintain accurate records or reports regarding the client history and progress, services provided, and other required information. Counsel clients individually and in group sessions to assist in understanding the cycle of violence, understanding power and control and making healthy decisions for themselves and their families. Together with the client, develop client care plans and safety plans based on research, clinical experience, and client histories. Conduct case management related to domestic violence issues. Coordinate counseling efforts with mental health professionals or other health professionals, such as doctors, nurses, or social workers. Review and evaluate clients' progress in relation to measurable goals described in care and safety plans. Interview clients, review records, and confer with other professionals to evaluate individuals' mental and physical condition and to determine their suitability for participation in a specific program. Conduct outreach Participate in case conferences and staff meetings. Other duties as more fully spelled out in the job description. Requirements BA in social work, human services, psychology or related field. Must be a fluent speaker in English and Spanish. Must be able to read English and Spanish. Must have knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for assessment and interventions for working with victims of domestic violence. Must have knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and interventions for domestic violence, trauma and related issues. Must have excellent active listening skills. Must have good outreach skills/ Knowledge of principles and methods for facilitating groups.
