Patient Care Coordinator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to ensure smooth patient journeys throughout the practice. This role involves setting up patient exam rooms, managing inventory, and medical scribing during appointments. You will explain treatment timelines and interpret PIP billing details to legal stakeholders. Coordination with billing and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with NJ PIP regulations is crucial. Responsibilities Assist patients as they travel throughout the practice. Set up patient exam rooms efficiently. Manage inventory to ensure availability of necessary supplies. Perform medical scribing during appointments to accurately document patient interactions. Explain treatment timelines, including number of visits completed or remaining prior to surgery. Interpret and explain PIP billing details clearly to legal stakeholders. Coordinate internally with billing and operations to resolve discrepancies. Ensure billing follows current NJ PIP regulations and processes. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience. Knowledge of NJ PIP (personal injury protection). Understanding of Medicare and Medicaid processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Orthopedics experience preferred. Work Environment Work in a smaller team within the Clifton office, focusing on NJ PIP patients. The role requires a combination of physical and technical skills, including lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and performing tasks that require reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Comfort with standing for long periods and working in various environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors, is necessary. The job may involve exposure to hazardous materials, necessitating adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment. The position offers PTO and holiday pay once permanent, health coverage for medical, vision, and dental, and the potential for growth within the network of multiple offices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clifton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
