CentraState Medical Center currently has an employment opportunity available for a Cardiovascular Service Line Director . Reporting to the Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, this leadership role is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the operations of the Cardiovascular Service Line. The Director works collaboratively across departments as part of CentraState's Health System Management Team to operationalize patient care initiatives and service goals established by senior leadership. Responsibilities Plans and facilitates unit based education to maintain and enhance the clinical competency of the nursing staff. Manages and administratively coordinates the Cardiology Service Line Team in accordance with the strategic plan. Markets cardiac services in order to increase volume. Facilitates quarterly Cardiology Division meetings. Responsible for development and oversight of department budget. Participates on inter-professional committees and facilitates meetings. Provides oversight for all cardiac quality metrics. Ensures the nursing staff are engaged in initiatives that support the Magnet accreditation. Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing required. A minimum of five years acute care hospital experience required A Minimum of three years nursing supervisory experience required. Active New Jersey RN license required. Cardiac Certification or Nursing Executive Certification required within 18 months of accepting position. Working knowledge of all pertinent regulatory and professional standards. Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
