Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Supervisor / Director to oversee the clinical operations of an outpatient substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment program in accordance with New Jersey state regulations and DMHAS licensing standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, supervisory, and clinical skills with experience managing outpatient addiction treatment services, supervising multidisciplinary clinical staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high-quality client care standards.

This position requires active New Jersey licensure/certification including LCADC and CCS, along with an LPC or LCSW for co-occurring treatment oversight. Required Qualifications Active New Jersey LCADC required Active New Jersey LPC or LCSW required CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) required Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related behavioral health field Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in substance use and/or co-occurring treatment settings Strong knowledge of ASAM Criteria, NJ DMHAS regulations, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 Experience with outpatient, IOP, and co-occurring treatment programming preferred Responsibilities Provide clinical and administrative supervision to counseling staff Ensure compliance with NJAC 10:161B licensing standards and agency policies Conduct weekly clinical supervision and staff performance evaluations Review and approve assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge documentation Ensure implementation of evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care Oversee clinical programming for outpatient and intensive outpatient services Monitor productivity, documentation compliance, and quality assurance indicators Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and disciplinary processes Assist with state inspections, CARF accreditation preparation, and corrective action plans Coordinate multidisciplinary treatment team meetings Ensure compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality regulations Assist with program development, census growth, referral relationships, and community outreach Provide crisis intervention support and clinical guidance to staff Ensure appropriate utilization of ASAM criteria and level-of-care determinations Maintain a small caseload as clinically indicated Participate in agency leadership and quality improvement initiatives Preferred Skills Strong leadership and team-building abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with electronic health records and clinical auditing Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of Medicaid and commercial insurance documentation standards
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
