Position Overview Are you a strategic healthcare leader passionate about strengthening clinical partnerships and driving community growth? We are seeking a dynamic Provider Relations and Clinical Outreach Director in Carlsbad, NM. In this vital leadership role, you will develop and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare providers, community partners, and regional organizations. You will collaborate directly with hospital leadership to align clinical outreach strategies with market priorities, eliminate barriers to physician satisfaction, and champion organizational growth initiatives. Utilizing data-driven insights and relationship management tools, you will directly impact healthcare delivery, operational performance, and the overall patient experience in our community.

Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities Strategic Provider Relations & Clinical Outreach Lead Strategic Outreach:
Build and sustain robust relationships with providers, advanced practice professionals (APPs), community agencies, and post-acute facilities to drive hospital growth and care access.
Drive Market Growth:
Partner with hospital and regional leadership to execute market growth initiatives, utilizing data and analytics to uncover new opportunities and track progress.
Manage Performance Metrics:
Formulate targeting objectives, strategic outreach plans, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to elevate engagement.
Documentation & Insights:
Maintain precise, timely documentation of outreach activities and provider feedback within the Provider Relationship Management (PRM) system to identify and resolve barriers to care.
Collaborative Alignment:
Participate in regional, hospital, and corporate meetings with physician practice services and accountable care teams to align strategies and share best practices.
Onboarding & Recruitment:
Support medical staff development and physician recruitment by assisting with seamless provider onboarding and clinical integration.
Departmental Leadership & Financial Oversight Team Management:
Provide direct leadership, mentorship, and professional development for departmental staff. Conduct performance evaluations, set operational goals, and oversee staff scheduling/resource allocation.
Fiscal Responsibility:
Collaborate with hospital executives on budgeting, resource allocation, expenditure monitoring, and long-term strategic planning.
Operational Efficiency:
Evaluate and implement emerging healthcare technologies, protocols, and policies to optimize departmental quality.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure full compliance with relevant healthcare regulatory bodies and oversee preparation for audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.
Staff Adaptability:
Support the team by working in a staff role when required, fulfilling all established competencies.
Candidate Qualifications Education & Experience Degree Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field OR 7+ years of direct, relevant healthcare experience in lieu of a degree.
Advanced Degree:
Master's Degree is highly preferred.
Field Experience:
3 to 5 years of closely related healthcare/clinical outreach experience required (with a Bachelor's degree).
Leadership Experience:
3 to 5 years of previous healthcare leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Communication & Collaboration:
Exceptional interpersonal, public speaking, and relationship-building skills to engage with cross-functional stakeholders and interdisciplinary teams.
Problem-Solving:
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to independently delegate, multitask, and hit firm deadlines.
Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, healthcare software platforms, and data analysis tools.
Industry Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry best practices, care coordination, and regulatory compliance. Preferred Licenses and Certifications (Any of the following credentials are highly valued but not strictly required) RN
  • Registered Nurse (State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure) EMT
  • Emergency Medical Technician LP
  • Licensed Paramedic PTA
