Short- and Long-Term Disability, Additional Life Insurance About the Role Keystone Perfusion Services is seeking an experienced, board-certified perfusionist to step into a newly created Regional Director role overseeing perfusion operations across multiple sites in Upstate New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania, with potential for continued growth as the region expands. This is a working leadership role. You will maintain an active clinical practice and share call responsibilities alongside your team, while providing the operational oversight, mentorship, and day-to-day leadership that keeps a multi-site region running at a high standard. If you lead from the front, on bypass and in the room, this role was built for you. What You'll Do Regional Leadership You'll serve as the primary point of contact and accountability across your sites, working closely with on-site perfusion staff, anesthesia, surgery, and nursing leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Specific responsibilities include:
Providing direct leadership and mentorship to perfusionists across all assigned sites Building and sustaining a team culture grounded in professionalism, mutual respect, and collaboration, with the credibility that comes from working alongside your team clinically Serving as a constructive liaison between site-level staff and KPS leadership, translating operational needs into actionable solutions Partnering with the Directors of Clinical Services and Operations on staffing, performance, quality initiatives, and business development as the region grows Holding yourself and your team to KPS's conduct and core values in every interaction with patients, families, surgeons, and colleagues Clinical Practice This role carries active clinical responsibilities, including call rotation. You will perform and oversee the full scope of perfusion services across your sites, which may include: Extracorporeal circulation and cardiopulmonary bypass ECMO Ventricular assist and circulatory support Blood conservation and autotransfusion Anticoagulation management and hematologic monitoring Hemofiltration and physiologic monitoring Administration of medications and blood components via the extracorporeal circuit Accurate and timely medical record documentation Operations Oversight of perfusion supply ordering, inventory, and equipment maintenance across sites Ensuring compliance with infection control, quality, and safety standards Participation in departmental meetings, required education, and professional development About the Region Our Upstate New York sites include programs that are among the largest and most active open-heart programs in the Capital District, performing 450+ procedures annually across all adult open-heart cases, with ECMO support and strong surgical team partnerships. Our Northeastern Pennsylvania presence adds additional depth to the region, with continued growth anticipated. The region offers an excellent quality of life, four seasons, easy access to the Adirondacks, Berkshires, Vermont, and NYC, and a cost of living that goes a lot further than most major cardiac surgery markets. Qualifications Master's degree required Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular perfusion education program Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) New York State Perfusion License (or eligibility to obtain) AHA or Red Cross BLS Certification (healthcare provider) Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical perfusion setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, surgical teams, and administrative stakeholders Proven ability to build team cohesion and model professional standards in a high-stakes environment To Apply Call us at 800.407.1198 or apply online at keystoneperfusion.com/employment
