Pay:
$17.00-21.00 per hour
Schedule :
Monday through Friday, 10:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. We are a well established concierge cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery practice seeking an experienced Medical Billing & Collections Coordinator to join our small, family oriented office. This position is ideal for someone who has worked in a physician's private practice and is comfortable managing medical billing, insurance follow up, patient collections, and front office responsibilities with professionalism and minimal supervision. We value employees who are dependable, committed, and looking for a long term career. Candidates with a stable work history are strongly encouraged to apply. A history of long term employment is preferred. Responsibilities Medical billing for a private plastic surgery practice. Submit and follow up on insurance claims. Review explanations of benefits (EOBs) and resolve claim issues. Work with
CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS
codes, modifiers, and payer guidelines. Prepare and submit appeals when appropriate. Contact insurance companies regarding unpaid or denied claims. Make professional patient collection calls and discuss outstanding balances with courtesy and compassion. Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients professionally. Verify insurance benefits when needed. Maintain accurate patient accounts and documentation. Work closely with our physician and senior office auditor to ensure accurate billing and collections. Assist with other front office duties as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of recent physician office medical billing experience required. Experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, general surgery, or another surgical specialty is preferred. Strong knowledge of
CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS
coding, modifiers, and insurance reimbursement. Experience with insurance appeals and denial management. Previous patient collection call experience required. Excellent telephone communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask. Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a close knit team. Computer proficiency with electronic medical records and medical billing software. About Our Practice Our office has built its reputation on providing outstanding patient care in a warm, professional environment. We are a small team where everyone supports one another and takes pride in their work. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced office auditor, who has been with our practice for nearly 15 years. She has extensive auditing knowledge and will provide guidance to help ensure a smooth transition into our office while working together as a team.
