Summary:
The Graduate and Paramedical Education Finance Administrator provides strategic and operational leadership for all regulatory and financial aspects of graduate medical education (GME) and paramedical education (NAHE) programs within the hospital system. This role is accountable for the planning, development and oversight of complex funding streams, including Medicare Direct Graduate Medical Education (DGME) and Indirect Medical Education (IME) reimbursement, Medicaid, and other federal, state and grant-based sources. Serving as the subject matter expert, the Administrator ensures full compliance with CMS regulations and reporting requirements, while optimizing reimbursement and safeguarding the organization's financial position. This role leads the preparation and management of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and conducts in-depth analysis to support program growth, accreditation changes and strategic initiatives across the system. The Administrator partners closely with hospital finance, clinical leadership, program directors and external stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into actionable financial strategies. With a high degree of autonomy, this position drives decision-making, strengthens internal controls and resolves complex reimbursement and funding issues that directly impact Catholic Health's financial performance and long-term sustainability of its education programs. Administrator may be required on an as-needed basis to assist with the preparation and analysis of the Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports of Catholic Health.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related healthcare field Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) certification preferred
EXPERIENCE A
minimum of five (5) years progressive experience in health care finance Extensive understanding of Medicare and Medicaid regulations, cost reports, reimbursement and financial reporting concepts A minimum of two (2) years of direct experience in the financial management of GME and/or Paramedical Education programs
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain a strong customer service focus on management, staff and external customers Maintains the confidentiality of all CH data Strong analytical and reporting skills Ability to work independently and/or in team settings on complex projects which involve critical deadlines Ability to research regulatory issues
