The Cook Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily food production and ensuring meals are prepared and served safely, on time, and in accordance with resident dietary needs, sanitation standards, and all applicable regulations . This role supports a person-centered dining experience and leads the kitchen team to maintain high-quality food service in a nursing home setting. Department Food & Nutrition Employment Type Full Time Location Castleton-On-Hudson - NY Workplace type Onsite Compensation $19.00 - $22.00 / hour Cook Supervisor Key Duties Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals. Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items for quality control. Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food- handling procedures. Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director. Perform other job-related duties as they become required. Cook Supervisor Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED). ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired. 1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required! Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.
