Per-Diem Shift 9 Job Description Under the general oversight of the Director of Radiology, applies professional knowledge and skill to provide accountable oversight and coordination of services, procedures and projects in the area of Echocardiography Service. Core job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: utilizing AIDET to communicate with patients during all encounters, analysis of patient medical record to elicit patient history to obtain the information necessary for performance of a thorough diagnostic exam, quality improvement activity, facilitating and reporting quality assurance activities to Director of Radiology, evaluation of echocardiography studies for acceptable technical quality, manages quality initiatives to obtain and maintain ICAL certification, supervision, participation in the interviewing and on boarding process for all echocardiography personnel, providing technical direction and performing annual competencies, establishment of relationships within and across departments to optimize patient care process, assisting in development of department policies and procedures, scheduling of personnel, project management, management of multiple concurrent projects, processes and assignments ensuring quality outcomes are delivered on time. Education And Credentials Certification in Pediatric and Adult Echocardiography, Credentialed by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required. Registered Nurse with New York State License is preferred. Basic Life Support Certification is required. Experience Previous experience in personnel supervision and quality improvement activities is preferred.

Salary Range:
