Job Description

Looking to gain hands-on experience in the mental health and substance use field ? The Recovery Center of Niagara is a dedicated care and treatment organization serving individuals with substance and alcohol use disorders. We are a patient-first team that places quality of care above all else, always looking to inspire hope and model ongoing coping skills for those in recovery. As a Patient Care Coordinator , you will provide vital support to reduce barriers to treatment and keep clients engaged in care. Acting as a positive role model, you will ensure facility safety, assist the clinical team, and foster a supportive healing environment.
Communicate:
Coordinate with counselors and nursing staff regarding patient care and issues.
De-escalate:
Assist clinical and nursing staff in de-escalating behaviorally compromised patients.
Room & Census Checks:
Conduct room checks and perform census checks every 1 hour.
Transport:
Safely transport patients throughout the facility
Monitoring:
Ensure patients adhere to the program schedule and observe for inconsistent behavior.
Admissions:
Search and record new admissions belongings, screening for contraband with staff.
Laundry & Linens:
Monitor supplies, replenish as needed, manage dirty laundry bags for housekeeping, and return clean linens to patients.
Schedule Overnight shift:
7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three days a week with every other weekend required .
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of related work experience
