As a growing organization, we are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Clinical Supervisor to join our Article 31 Mental Health Clinic team.
Job Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor provides oversight, support, and supervision to licensed and unlicensed therapists, peer support specialists, and clinical interns to ensure they delivers the highest quality mental health services to the clients we support. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based care by reviewing clinical work, offering guidance, and ensuring compliance with licensing and agency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and/or group clinical supervision to assigned providers, including certified peer support specialists, interns, and clinicians (i.e., LMSW, MHC-LP, MSW-LP, etc.) Regularly check for and review clinical notes, treatment plans, and assessments within 72 hours of submission for accuracy, clinical relevance, and compliance with state and agency standards Review and monitor submitted documentation, treatment plans, and case notes for accuracy, timeliness, and clinical appropriateness Review submissions and provide input to guarantee provider understanding of ethical guidelines, legal requirements, and agency policies Provide immediate guidance and support when a provider communicates a crisis situation, especially when it involves cases of clients at risk of suicide, self-harm, or harm to others Support clinical staff in crisis intervention, case consultations, and complex case management Provide support for therapists pursuing licensure, including signing off on clinical hours and Board-required forms in a timely manner Assist in new therapist onboarding, ensuring they understand clinical policies, documentation systems (e.g., EHR), and agency procedures Guide providers in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices. Work with leadership to implement new clinical protocols, respond to audit findings, or integrate grant/contract requirements into service delivery Ensure all clinical staff are meeting productivity expectations and that services are being delivered within required timeframes If the interest presents and the need is present, maintain a small caseload and model effective clinical practices at the clinic's designated rates for fee-for-service sessions ($50-$75) Coordinate training sessions and ensure completion of required clinical and operational trainings as per company, local, state, and federal standards Collaborate leadership from the clinical department to align supervision feedback with company expectations Actively coordinate with providers to schedule upcoming Supervision session to ensure each week's submissions are completed before payroll is processed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in training, onboarding, or administrative support (preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting) Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills Professional phone & camera presence and ability to interact effectively with team members via telephone or video calls Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating multiple software platforms including Microsoft Office. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is required. Solid understanding of technology to effectively conduct remote training sessions, schedule training sessions, develop training material, manage notes, and maintain records Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Willingness to learn other Software systems to ensure training is comprehensive and department objectives are satisfied Ability to conduct training sessions for groups ranging from 1 to 10 participants, including clinicians and certified
Peer Support Specialists Required Experience:
Must be a LCSW or
LMHC - LCSW
is preferred Licensure must be active New York state license and unrestricted Minimum of 2 years post-licensure clinical experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred Must be OPRA enrolled or willing to obtain OPRA enrollment upon hire Possess or be willing to get a National Provider Identifier (NPI)
