Job Description
Job Description Clerical support to Outpatient Rehabilitation services in multiple locations. This includes registration, scheduling and Point of Service Collections. General office duties. Essential Job Functions Registration of all new patients. Ability to make sure that all registration information is correct including demographic information, insurance information and correct order for therapy services. All patient must be checked in prior to start of therapy on each visit. Scheduling of new referrals and recurring appointments for multiple areas. Ability to schedule referrals by diagnosis and discipline (PT/OT/ST) to correct diagnostic team based on physician referral and prescription. Ability to schedule multiple discipline patients. This also includes taking cancellations and rescheduling of new referrals and recurring appointments. Point of Service collection for current and previous balances General Office Duties, including answering of multi telephone lines, faxing, filing. Preparation of Medical Records for scanning Customer Service - Ability to address multiple customers (i.e. patients, families, co-workers, physicians, etc) using AIDET skills. Courteous behaviors and polite approach will be presented during all interactions. Behaviors will be observed during face to face and telephone interactions. Ability to navigate the electronic medical record system and complete assignments within the system daily. Ability to interpret insurance information to the patient. This information includes plans deductible and out of pocket and the benefits that apply for therapy services. Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of Outpatient Rehabilitation Service Lines.
