Job Description
At Leon's Garage and House of Spirits, hospitality is about more than serving great food and drinks. It's about creating places where people gather, celebrate, reconnect, and make memories. Every guest who walks through our doors should leave feeling like they experienced something worth talking about. We're looking for a proven hospitality leader who believes exceptional guest experiences begin behind the scenes with strong operations, disciplined financial management, clear expectations, and an engaged team. This is not a desk job. It's a leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, coaching managers, celebrating wins, solving problems in real time, and knowing the numbers well enough to make smart business decisions every day. If you lead by example, enjoy developing people, embrace accountability, and believe every guest should leave happier than when they arrived, we'd love to meet you. Position Summary The Director of Hospitality & Operations provides strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight for Leon's Garage and House of Spirits. This role is responsible for operational excellence, financial performance, guest satisfaction, team development, event execution, and preserving the unique personality of each brand. Working alongside ownership, you'll build systems that create consistency, coach leaders to grow professionally, make data-driven decisions, and ensure every guest experience reflects our commitment to quality, hospitality, and community. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, hire, coach, and develop exceptional managers and team members. Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, ownership, and hospitality. Set clear expectations and provide ongoing coaching to help individuals and teams grow. Lead by example through a visible, hands-on presence in daily operations. Create an environment where people enjoy coming to work and are motivated to perform at a high level. Operational Excellence Oversee all daily operations across both venues. Establish, improve, and maintain operational systems and service standards. Ensure compliance with health, safety, liquor licensing, and regulatory requirements. Maintain facilities that are clean, organized, efficient, and guest-ready. Continually evaluate operations to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency. Financial Leadership Own the financial performance of both businesses. Develop and manage annual operating budgets. Monitor sales, labor, food and beverage costs, inventory, purchasing, and profitability. Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify opportunities and solve problems before they become larger issues. Work with managers to achieve measurable short- and long-term financial goals while maintaining exceptional guest experiences. Drive operational decisions using data, industry benchmarks, and best practices. Guest Experience Champion a hospitality-first culture where every guest feels genuinely welcomed. Monitor service standards and continuously improve the guest experience. Address guest concerns professionally and turn challenges into opportunities to build loyalty. Ensure every interaction reflects the personality and values of each brand. Events, Programming & Community Oversee private events, entertainment, and special programming. Collaborate with marketing to drive guest engagement and strengthen both brands. Build partnerships and identify new opportunities that increase traffic, revenue, and community impact. Support creative programming while ensuring operational excellence and profitability. What We're Looking For Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, restaurant, entertainment, event venue, or multi-unit operations. Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams. Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to interpret reports, manage budgets, and drive operational results. Experience managing labor, cost controls, inventory, and performance metrics. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. A servant leader who is equally comfortable reviewing a P&L, coaching a manager, jumping into service during a rush, and connecting with guests. A passion for hospitality, community, and building organizations that people are proud to be part of.
