The Clinical Director will provide clinical leadership, supervise licensed and unlicensed staff, ensure compliance with OhioMHAS, Medicaid, CARF, and agency standards, and promote a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and compassionate care. This leadership position is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about developing high-performing clinical teams, maintaining regulatory compliance, improving clinical outcomes, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of the individuals and families we serve. Duties & Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and consultation to therapists, social workers, case managers, Qualified Mental Health Specialists (QMHS), and other clinical staff. Oversee the quality and timeliness of diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, service plan reviews, progress notes, and all other clinical documentation. Ensure compliance with OhioMHAS, Medicaid, CARF, HIPAA, and all applicable federal and state behavioral health regulations. Conduct routine clinical chart audits and implement corrective action plans to ensure documentation quality and regulatory compliance. Lead weekly clinical supervision meetings, multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, and case consultations. Monitor clinician productivity, documentation accuracy, service delivery, and quality of care while promoting staff accountability and professional growth. Provide clinical guidance during behavioral health crises and assist staff with clinical decision-making, risk assessment, and safety planning. Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based treatment practices. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, supervising, and evaluating clinical staff. Prepare the agency for OhioMHAS, CARF, Medicaid, and other regulatory reviews, licensing inspections, and accreditation surveys. Foster collaborative relationships with referral sources, schools, healthcare providers, community agencies, and families to ensure coordinated, client-centered care. Maintain the highest standards of ethical practice, confidentiality, professionalism, and clinical excellence. QualificationsRequired Qualifications Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university. Current Ohio Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) in good standing. Minimum of three (3) years of post-licensure clinical experience. Minimum of two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting. Experience supervising licensed and unlicensed clinical staff. Strong knowledge of OhioMHAS regulations, Medicaid documentation requirements, CARF accreditation standards, HIPAA, and behavioral health compliance. Experience reviewing and approving diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, service plan reviews, and clinical documentation. Experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families experiencing mental health and behavioral health challenges. Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, crisis intervention, and group therapy. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems and Microsoft Office. Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering a collaborative, supportive, and accountable clinical environment.
