Position Summary The operating room (OR) manager oversees daily operations of a multi-specialty surgical department, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory readiness, and quality patient outcomes. The OR manager acts as a liaison between surgeons and anesthesia providers and provides leadership and accountability for licensed and non-licensed personnel in the operating rooms and sterile processing department. Responsibilities Interview, hire, orient, schedule and assign work duties. Coach, counsel and implement appropriate disciplinary action. Evaluate patient care outcomes utilizing Quality Improvement process. Develop, review, and enforce policy and procedure, and standards of practice. Assist in the formulation and implementation of operational and capital budgets. Requirements Current Ohio R.N. License BSN Preferred Minimum 3 years of recent surgery experience Leadership experience Current BLS Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, physicians, patients, families, and visitors. Must possess analytical abilities and sound patient care knowledge necessary to support provision of all aspects of patient care. LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
