Job Description

Cadence Care Network believes in building a cohesive team of managers and staff. Cadence Care Network has an immediate opening for a Behavioral Health Wellness Coordinator to work in a Trumbull County school system. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collaborate with school leadership to coordinator, plan, implement, evaluate, sustain, and innovate the school district's overall Student Assistance Program and Staff Wellness programming and practices. Build and sustain awareness of this programming with students, parent/caregivers, and the community. Work with building administrators, school counselors, and other student wellness staff to connect and coordinate behavioral health services and staff wellness programming. Work collaboratively and coordinating the development of the schoolspecific Student Assistance Programs (SAP) forms, procedures, and policies with the Associate Superintendent of Student Services and other school administrators. Provide coordination and support of promotion services for behavioral health/substance use, early intervention selective services and supports, indicated services and support or behavioral health problems (including substance use). Provide staff development and program awareness to school staff related to SAP, staff wellness program and other related topics. Including establishing and coordinating SAP teams and existing staff wellness efforts to implement a staff wellness program in each of the school buildings. Identify methods and measures for a clear evaluation plan of SAP and staff wellness programming, including implementation of evaluations/surveys/needs assessments both within the school and with community partners; collect and maintain data and compile evaluation reports. Identify, network, and enhance community partnerships and resources through participation in community committees, coalitions, councils, community events, which may include before/after school hours, weekends, and during scheduled school breaks. Work with community partners to provide prevention education, intervention, and treatment services within the school buildings. Provide limited prevention education programing within the schools and/or community as identified and approved by supervisor(s). Participate in professional development including school professional development days as identified by supervisor and District Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; associate degree required. Be able to show evidence of working towards the Prevention Credential including Registered Applicant (RA) status or have the ability to become certified in the Prevention Credential. Experience of working with local school districts, law enforcement, and /or human services agencies. Experience with, or knowledge of, evidence-based mental health and substance abuse prevention strategies Experience working with children and families, especially in school settings. Experience with, or knowledge of, mental health/public health needs, services and resources. Basic computer skills including experience with presentation software (i.e. Prezi, PowerPoint, Google slides), Excel spreadsheets, and Google forms. Evidence of effective networking and facilitation among diverse groups and agencies. Knowledge of minority populations' needs.
