Job Description

Job Overview Looking to hire Dental Coordinator for a family general dental practice in Streetsboro, OH. In this role, the dental coordinator will be responsible for patient scheduling, patient billing, insurance verification, medical record management, and supporting the dentist and practice. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, professional, and provide exceptional patient service serving as the face of the dental practice. Responsibilities Manage patient appointments using dental practice management software Archy, ensuring efficient scheduling and rescheduling as needed Verify insurance coverage and benefits through systems Review and maintain accurate medical and dental records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and documentation standards Assist patients with intake procedures, including collecting medical history and explaining treatment plans clearly and compassionately Coordinate with dental providers regarding care plans, treatment schedules, and follow-up appointments to optimize patient flow Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing excellent patient service and addressing inquiries promptly Support billing processes by coding procedures accurately using CDT codes and managing collections efficiently Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and ensure timely documentation review for accuracy and completeness Verify insurance information, process claims, and follow up on outstanding payments to maximize revenue recovery Utilize computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, correspondence, and data entry tasks Skills Extensive experience with various dental medical record systems Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental coding (CDT), and insurance verification procedures Proficiency in dental billing, collections, documentation review, and health information management practices Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinic setting Exceptional communication skills including phone etiquette Familiarity with office management tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and multi-line phone systems Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times Ability to perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and maintaining accurate records Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a healthcare environment
Pay:
$25.00 - $45.00 per hour
