Job Description
DCCS Consulting, on behalf of Jackson County Memorial Hospital Authority, is seeking an experienced Laboratory Director to lead laboratory services across a two-hospital health system serving Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas. This role oversees laboratory operations at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, OK, and Harmon Memorial Hospital in Hollis, OK. The Laboratory Director provides visible, hands-on leadership for a 24/7 laboratory operation supporting annual testing volumes of approximately 197,859 at JCMH and 14,303 at HMH. The role is responsible for quality, regulatory readiness, operational consistency, staff leadership, budgeting, and strong collaboration with physicians, nursing, and hospital leadership. The successful candidate will bring hospital laboratory leadership experience, strong regulatory knowledge, sound operational judgment, and a relationship-driven leadership style suited to a community-based, multi-facility healthcare environment. Required Qualifications MT(ASCP) or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in medical technology, chemical, physical, or biological science required Minimum of 5 years of hospital laboratory management or assistant management experience required Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, DNV, and applicable federal/state laboratory regulations Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in business, science, or healthcare Multi-facility laboratory leadership experience Experience with Meditech Expanse Experience supporting process improvement, regulatory readiness, and staff engagement Why Consider This Opportunity This is a visible leadership opportunity within a stable, community-focused health system. Pay:
