Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join Eye Care Specialists of Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the clinic, providing exceptional patient service, and managing various administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of the patient check -in/ out process, proficiency practice management system, scheduling patient care , understanding of in electronic health record (EHR) systems, and excellent communication skills to support both patients and staff effectively. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with the check-in process at the front desk. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure timely care. Verify insurance information and handle medical billing processes. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Filing Vision Plans claims online. Answering office phones/ fielding patient calls. Utilize EMR and PM systems of Modernizing Medicine. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems. Assist with medical collections and coordinate payment plans as necessary. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care. Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10) and terminology is essential. Proficiency in EHR systems; Modernizing Medicine. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and typing proficiency. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication. Knowledge of health information management practices is beneficial. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while adhering to HIPAA standards. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review. Pay:
$15.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 30.0 per week
