Job Description
The Clinic Nurse Supervisor plays a vital leadership role in the coordination and delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care within the outpatient clinic setting. This position is responsible for supervising nursing and clinical support staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. The Clinic Nurse Supervisor promotes an exceptional patient experience, supports staff development, and actively contributes to strategic clinic goals such as access, patient outcomes, and operational excellence.
Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Current RN license in Oregon without restriction. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required. Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the activities of clinical nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, MAs) to ensure efficient clinic flow and high-quality patient care. Coordinate with asst manager/manager with clinical staff schedules, staffing levels, timecard approvals, and timecard corrections Collaborate with providers, front office staff, and leadership to improve care coordination, patient access, and clinic efficiency. Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives. Conduct regular clinical staff meetings, provide coaching and feedback, and complete performance evaluations. Assist in the hiring, orientation, training, and development of clinical staff. Monitor patient care activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures. Respond to and resolve patient concerns or complaints in collaboration with the clinic manager. Support inventory management and ensure proper use of supplies and equipment. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to staff licensure, competencies, and continuing education.Skills and Abilities:
Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to assess and respond to patient needs. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills to build rapport with clinical and administrative staff, providers, and patients; communicates clearly in fast-paced and sensitive healthcare environments. Able to establish priorities and coordinate work activities of self and staff. Able to identify problems and recommend solutions. Must possess the ability to work with and respect highly confidential information. Understands and upholds HIPAA regulations and internal policies to protect sensitive patient and clinic information. Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, Microsoft Office, and clinic scheduling tools.Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Must be able to move heavy objects and may be required to assist or safely move patients of varying weight sizes. Requires periods of sitting, standing. Requires frequent use of computer and telephone Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone Occasional exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue, communicable diseases, chemicals, including but not limited to sticks or cuts by needles and other sharp items. Clinic is open Monday-Sunday 8am-6pmCompensation:
