McMinnville, Oregon Pay:
$25.00 per hour + tips
Schedule:
Wednesday through Sunday, 9:45 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional holidays and special events. Youngberg Hill is an award-winning boutique winery, inn, and event venue overlooking the Willamette Valley. We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys leading by example and creating exceptional experiences for every guest. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a General Manager role as training and responsibilities expand. Primary Responsibilities Guest Experience Deliver warm, personalized hospitality to every guest. Lead wine tastings while sharing the story of Youngberg Hill, our wines, vineyard, and sustainable farming practices. Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally. Build lasting relationships with guests and Wine Club members. Encourage repeat visits through exceptional service. Monitor guest feedback and online reviews while identifying opportunities for improvement. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property. Leadership Lead, train, coach, and inspire the hospitality team. Create a positive, collaborative work environment. Lead daily pre-shift meetings and ongoing wine education. Hold staff accountable to service standards while providing coaching and encouragement. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance development. Tasting Room & Inn Operations Manage daily operations of the tasting room and inn. Open and close the property. Manage reservations and guest flow. Operate and reconcile the point-of-sale system. Maintain wine, retail, food, and hospitality inventory. Ensure merchandise displays remain attractive and fully stocked. Maintain cleanliness throughout guest areas. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure the property always looks its best. Ensure compliance with OLCC regulations and company policies. Events Assist with event setup, service, and breakdown. Ensure every event exceeds guest expectations. Sales & Wine Club Drive wine sales through exceptional guest engagement. Introduce guests to Wine Club membership opportunities. Help retain existing club members by creating memorable experiences. Educate guests about our wines, vineyard practices, and hospitality offerings. Assist with shipping orders and direct-to-consumer sales when needed. Administrative & Financial Assist with budgeting and expense management. Monitor labor costs and scheduling. Review daily sales reports and operating metrics. Assist with purchasing and vendor communication. Recommend operational improvements that increase guest satisfaction and profitability. Qualifications Two or more years of hospitality leadership or management experience. Winery, hotel, restaurant, resort, or event venue experience preferred. Outstanding customer service skills. Strong leadership and team development abilities. Excellent communication skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable learning reservation software, POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office. Wine knowledge is a plus, but we are happy to teach the right person. Oregon OLCC Service Permit (or ability to obtain one). Oregon Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain one). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Lift up to 50 pounds. Navigate stairs and uneven outdoor terrain. Work weekends, holidays, and occasional special events.
