Job Description

CHS Harrisburg - Harrisburg, PA Full-Time The Health Services Manager is a dedicated professional committed to supporting the mental, behavioral, and physical well-being of children. In this role, the manager will oversee all activities related to the Center's behavioral and physical health policies and services, ensuring that every aspect of care is delivered with the highest standards of quality and safety.

This individual will lead the administration and coordination of comprehensive health services, working to understand and respond to the unique needs of families and children. They will guide the health services team and collaborate with external health partners and local providers to ensure families have access to the resources they need. The manager will also facilitate conversations with families to support accessibility and continuity of care. Collaboration is essential in this role. The Health Services Manager will work closely with professionals across other CHS centers and CHS Central Office to maintain consistency in health policies, procedures, and best practices. Strong skills in planning, organization, communication, conflict management, and data analysis are essential. Experience ensuring operational and facility compliance with OCDEL, NAEYC, and other high quality standards is also required. This position reports to the Center Director. The salary range for this position is $69,000 to $79,746 per year, based on expertise.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing the provision and coordination of behavioral and physical health services to children and families enrolled in the program Overseeing the Child Support Teams which support individual developmental and behavioral needs of children in care including evaluation & assessment, coordination of internal and external support services, and monitoring the fidelity of recommended intervention Collecting and analyzing data Identifying key health needs and interventions for children in collaboration with the Family Success team Overseeing the early intervention referral process for children, as well as delivery of services, in coordination with Family Success teams Communicating with parents and leading meetings where difficult issues arise Building and establishing partnerships to support child health needs Managing support services providers and paraprofessionals Providing supervision and ensure that all health services staff comply with appropriate regulations May spend time in classrooms to support their staff with coaching and intervention strategies when specific needs arise Ensuring implementation of policies and procedures for safety practices in conjunction with the Central Office Health Services Operations Manager Implementing corrective initiatives and tracking most common issues and/or trends Staying updated and informed on child health best practices (e.g. trauma-informed care, etc.) and regulatory requirements for supporting all children's success, birth to age 5 Providing input for new policies and procedures Support and facilitate Professional Development content during PD year Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Health Services, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Human Services- Early Intervention, or related field required 5 years of relevant experience in Early Intervention services, behavioral health for ages 2-5 years old, health services areas required Experience with early intervention strategies, evaluations and assessments. Familiar with early intervention referral process Ability to correspond and establish supportive relationships with case workers, parent/guardians, staff, and children Knowledge of the State's health and safety requirements (DHS/OCDEL, DOH, OSHA, ADA) and NAEYC standards Experience with managing both internal and external care providers across multiple disciplines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Responsible, enthusiastic, and cares about working in a mission-focused organization Demonstrated understanding of and ability to effectively work with low-income families (preferred) Ability to proactively identify problems and implement solutions Willingness to be held accountable and receive feedback Comfortability with technology including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and/or willingness to learn Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to influence, lead, and educate teams Commitment to the mission and values of CHS and MHS and demonstrated high degree of integrity as all MHS and CHS staff are considered to be role models for children U.S. work authorization and successful completion of pre-employment background checks and clearances Who we are and what we're looking for At CHS, we are leaders passionate about early childhood education and community betterment.
