Summary of Duties Marywood University is building a dynamic pool of board-certified music therapists (MT-BCs) to support our growing music therapy program and on-campus clinic. We are seeking qualified professionals for flexible, part-time opportunities that may include: Clinical Field Supervision for undergraduate and pre-internship music therapy students, including supervision of sessions both in the Marywood Music Therapy Clinic and in university-affiliated community placements Direct clinical services in the Marywood Music Therapy Clinic, including individual sessions, dyads, or group interventions. These opportunities are open to both seasoned professionals and newly credentialed MT-BCs seeking to gain practical experience and professional mentorship in a supportive university setting. Successful candidates will collaborate with music therapy faculty and staff to provide high-quality clinical services, contribute to innovative programming, and support student learning experiences. This pool approach allows Marywood to match professionals' interests, experience levels, and availability with evolving program and clinic needs. Primary Responsibilities (Depending on Role) Supervise music therapy practicum students in alignment with AMTA standards, including observation, feedback, evaluation, and communication with faculty Provide direct clinical services in the Marywood Music Therapy Clinic, tailored to client needs and clinical goals Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, caregivers, community partners, and the university team Contribute to upholding ethical standards, innovation, and quality of care within the clinic and community partnerships Engage in optional professional development and collaborative opportunities with faculty and colleagues Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy and current MT-BC credential required (or eligibility if newly graduated) For candidates interested in supervising students, a minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience (or equivalent part-time) is required, in accordance with AMTA standards Clinical experience preferred but not required for those interested solely in providing direct clinical services-both seasoned professionals and newly credentialed MT-BCs are encouraged to apply Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Commitment to ethical practice, client-centered care, and professional standards Interest in working within an innovative, collaborative university clinic environment Application Process Interested candidates should submit: Letter of interest indicating preferred areas of work (e.g. supervision, clinical sessions, groups) Current resume or CV Copy of MT-BC credential or anticipated certification date if newly graduated Brief statement describing clinical experience and professional goals Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
