Job Description

Wilkes University invites applications for the full-time, 10-month position of Director of Student Health Services. The Director is responsible for overseeing the delivery of healthcare to a student population of approximately 2,000 undergraduates, including 900 residential students and 600 student-athletes. Primary responsibilities include providing direct patient care, assessing and treating illness or injury, and coordinating external referrals when necessary. The role also includes oversight of departmental operations, with budgeting experience preferred. Proficiency in electronic medical records is required. In addition, the Director plays a key role in promoting campus-wide health education and wellness initiatives. The successful candidate will be a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with at least five years of experience in primary care; experience in an emergency department setting is preferred. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
