Position Summary The Assistant Clinical Director partners closely with the Clinical Director to oversee the daily clinical operations of the organization. This leadership position provides supervision, mentorship, quality assurance, and clinical support to our BCBAs, Clinical Supervisors, and Behavior Technicians while ensuring services meet the highest ethical and clinical standards. This position combines direct clinical oversight with leadership, staff development, and operational collaboration. Responsibilities Clinical Leadership Support the Clinical Director in overseeing ABA clinical operations. Provide supervision and mentorship to BCBAs and Clinical Supervisors. Ensure all treatment plans are clinically appropriate and individualized. Review behavior intervention plans and treatment recommendations. Maintain high standards of clinical excellence and ethical practice. Assist in complex case consultations and clinical problem-solving. Ensure compliance with BACB Ethics Code and California regulations. Staff Development Mentor and coach clinical staff to promote professional growth. Assist with onboarding and training of new clinical employees. Conduct competency assessments and performance coaching. Participate in performance evaluations. Help foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive work culture. Quality Assurance Monitor documentation quality and clinical compliance. Conduct audits of clinical documentation and programming. Ensure timely completion of assessments, reports, and treatment authorizations. Support quality improvement initiatives throughout the organization. Family & Client Support Serve as a clinical resource for families. Assist with difficult parent concerns or clinical issues. Promote excellent customer service and communication. Support continuity of care across all service settings. Operational Support Collaborate with Scheduling, HR, and Operations to ensure appropriate staffing. Assist with caseload distribution and clinical coverage. Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning. Support company initiatives, policies, and growth. Qualifications Required Active BCBA certification in good standing. Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BCBA. Experience supervising RBTs and/or BCBAs. Strong understanding of insurance funding requirements. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Previous leadership or management experience. Experience in clinic, home, and school settings. Experience with quality assurance or clinical audits. Passion for mentorship and developing future leaders.
