Ohio Valley Counseling is seeking an experienced, visionary Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to oversee the clinical operations and quality of our growing outpatient behavioral health practice. This executive leadership position is ideal for a licensed mental health professional who is passionate about developing clinicians, maintaining the highest standards of ethical practice, and building systems that allow both clients and therapists to thrive. The CCO serves as the clinical leader of the organization, ensuring excellence in client care, regulatory compliance, clinical supervision, and professional development while working closely with the Operations Director and Executive Leadership to achieve the organization's strategic vision. Primary ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership Provide strategic leadership for all clinical services. Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure evidence-based, ethical, and client-centered care throughout the organization. Monitor quality indicators and implement clinical improvement initiatives. Clinical Supervision & Staff Development Supervise and mentor provisionally licensed clinicians. Provide consultation, coaching, and clinical guidance to licensed therapists as needed. Facilitate peer consultation groups and ongoing professional development. Assist with therapist onboarding and orientation. Support clinician growth through regular feedback and performance coaching. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure compliance with state licensing boards, federal regulations, payer requirements, and professional ethics. Monitor documentation quality and timeliness. Conduct regular chart audits and implement corrective action plans when necessary. Develop and maintain clinical policies and procedures. Oversee preparation for audits and accreditation activities. Clinical Operations Review referrals and make therapist assignment recommendations based on client needs and clinician expertise. Monitor clinician caseloads to promote balanced scheduling and access to care. Collaborate with administrative staff to improve client intake, scheduling, and continuity of care. Assist in developing new clinical programs and service lines. Organizational Leadership Partner with the Operations Director on organizational initiatives and strategic planning. Participate in leadership meetings and policy development. Help recruit, interview, and retain high-quality clinicians. Represent OHVC professionally within the community and with referral partners. Qualifications Required Independent clinical license in Ohio and/or West Virginia (LISW, LPCC, LPCC-S, Psychologist, LMFT, or equivalent). Must be eligible for Supervision Designation in Ohio and/or West Virginia. Minimum five years of post-independent licensure clinical experience. Previous experience providing clinical supervision. Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, documentation standards, ethics, and insurance requirements. Demonstrated leadership and team development experience. Preferred Multi-state licensure (Ohio and West Virginia). Experience in private practice leadership. Experience with TherapyNotes or similar electronic health record systems.
