Job Description

Northwest Neurology is one of the largest private neurology practice in Illinois, specializing in all spectrums of neurological disorders. With 5 outpatient locations and hospital partnerships across Chicagoland, we provide advanced diagnostics and treatments, including EEG, EMG, MRI, Botulinum injections, and infusion therapy. We are seeking an experienced EHR Manager to oversee and optimize our Electronic Health Record platform, eClinicalWorks (eCW), while supporting providers and staff across the organization. The EHR Manager serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for eClinicalWorks. This position is responsible for system administration, workflow optimization, provider onboarding, training, reporting, patient portal management, and ongoing support to ensure efficient clinical and operational workflows throughout the organization.

What We're Looking For:
Required Minimum 5 years of Electronic Health Record administration experience. Strong understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows. Experience training providers and clinical staff. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Minimum 3 years of eClinicalWorks administration experience. Experience supporting a multi-site physician practice. Neurology or specialty practice experience. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Information Systems, Nursing, or a related field.
What You'll Do:
EHR Administration Serve as the primary administrator for eClinicalWorks (eCW). Manage user access, security roles, and permissions. Create , modify, and maintain provider templates, clinical forms, workflows, order sets, medications, diagnostic codes, and other EHR content. Develop and maintain provider schedules and appointment types, and specialty specific workflows. Optimize eCW features, including Healow, Healow Pay, Self-Scheduling, and Check-In functionality. Monitor system functionality and recommend improvements to enhance provider efficiency and patient care. Training & Support Train physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff on EHR workflows and functionality. Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, and standard operating procedures. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for clinical and administrative staff. Conduct refresher training and assist with adoption of new system features. Clinical Operations Support Provide advanced support to providers, nurses, medical assistants, and office personnel regarding clinical workflows and EHR functionality. Assist with troubleshooting clinical and operational issues. Work collaboratively with IT personnel to resolve hardware, software, networking, and application related concerns. Support workflow standardization initiatives across the organization. Reporting & Analytics Design, develop, and maintain operational and clinical reports. Support quality initiatives, MIPS reporting, payer programs, value-based care initiatives, and operational performance monitoring. Ensure accuracy and integrity of clinical and operational data. Patient Portal Management Manage patient portal configuration, functionality, and user support. Support portal adoption initiatives and patient engagement programs. Troubleshoot patient portal access and communication issues. Coordinate portal enhancements and workflow improvements. Compliance & Security Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, MIPS, and applicable healthcare regulations. Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and security initiatives.
