No Location CountyChemung Street AddressElmira Psychiatric Center 100 Washington Street CityElmira StateNY Zip Code14902 Job Specifics Duties DescriptionAs a Health Information Management Administrator 3 a Elmira Psychiatric Center, you will manage day-to-day operations of a medical records program; plan, implement, and maintain systems for acquiring and preserving individuals' medical records; supervise and train subordinate staff in facility medical records and health information management departments; and participate in the development of computer applications for medical records information. Minimum QualificationsCandidates from outside State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (HELPS) program if they have current certification by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA); and two years of full-time professional (post-RHIA) health information management experience. OR Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
