Position Overview We are seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor to help steer our clinical operations during an exciting growth and revamp phase. Working in close collaboration with the Operations Team, you will help design and implement new protocols, provide clinical oversight for community-based staff, and lead QMHP training. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys program development and seeks a flexible, primarily remote leadership position. Key Responsibilities •Clinical Leadership & Revamp:
Partner with the Operations Team to design, implement, and audit new clinical workflows and service delivery protocols during the agency's operational restart. •Comprehensive Assessments :
Conduct high-level biopsychosocial assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans that meet all Texas Medicaid and MCO requirements. • Clinical Oversight (LPHA): Review and clinically authorize (sign off on) progress notes, assessments, and treatment plans completed by QMHP and other non-licensed staff to ensure medical necessity and regulatory compliance. •Staff Supervision & Development :
Provide documented clinical supervision for QMHP-CS staff and other clinical team members, including creating and delivering competency-based training. •Documentation Standards:
Maintain impeccable, timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and model best practices for the clinical team. •Evidence-Based Treatment:
Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy using proven modalities, ensuring high-quality care for diverse populations. •Crisis & Safety Management:
Deliver expert crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning services via telehealth. •Regulatory & QA Excellence:
Ensure all clinical activities meet ethical state and federal regulatory standards; participate in internal audits and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. •Strategic Collaboration:
Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings and serve as the clinical voice in partnership with administrative leadership and community partners. Qualifications •Active and Unrestricted Texas Licensure :
Must hold a current LPC, LPC-S, LCSW, or LP license. (Associate-level licenses such as LPC-A or LMSW cannot be considered for this position). •TMHP/PEMS
Enrollment :
Active enrollment with Texas Medicaid (TMHP) and a fully approved profile in the Provider Enrollment and Management System (PEMS) is strictly required for immediate onboarding. •MCO Credentialing :
Preference will be given to candidates already fully credentialed and contracted with one or more of the following - Superior HealthPlan, Texas Children's Health Plan (TCHP), and/or Community Health Choice (CHC). •Educational Background :
Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related clinical field. •Clinical Leadership Experience :
Minimum of 2+ years in outpatient or community mental health (CMHC) settings; prior experience in a supervisory or program development role is highly preferred to support our operational restart. •Regulatory Documentation Expertise :
2+ years of advanced experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR). Proven track record of reviewing/approving notes in a timely manner and ensuring documentation meets Texas HHSC and Medicaid medical necessity standards. •Certifications :
Current CANS/ANSA and CPR certifications are highly preferred; otherwise, must be willing and able to obtain them immediately upon hire. •Strategic Collaboration :
Strong clinical judgment and the ability to communicate effectively with the Operations Team to co-create and refine agency protocols •Remote & Local Requirements :
Must be proficient in conducting telehealth assessments and remote clinical supervision with the flexibility for occasional local meetings as needed. •Bilingual Skills:
