Job Description

Become a part of our caring community The Medical Coding Coordinator 1 extracts clinical information from a variety of medical records and assigns appropriate procedural terminology and medical codes (e.g., ICD-10-CM, CPT) to patient records. The Medical Coding Coordinator 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically work on routine and patterned assignments. The Medical Coding Coordinator 1 confirms appropriate diagnosis related group (DRG) assignments. Analyze, enter, and manipulate database. Respond to or clarify internal requests for medical information. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation. This position is NOT remote) Required Qualifications High school graduate
CPC, CCS, CRC
required 2 years medical coding experience Experience interpreting medical records; electronic and paper Experience working with physicians regarding coding requirements Knowledge of CPT/HPCS and
ICD9/ICD10

Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
