Patient Safety Coordinator Position Summary The Patient Safety Coordinator assists the Director of Patient Safety in activities relating to the administration of the patient safety program. Such activities may include but are not limited to managing and analyzing patient safety data, implementing loss prevention and loss reduction programs, conducting patient safety educational programs, and ensuring compliance with patient safety related standards as established by JC and other governmental regulating agencies. To accomplish the above referenced departmental goals, the Patient Safety Coordinator may interface with the Medical Staff, Administrative Services, clinical and non-clinical departments, Protective Services and Employee Health.
Patient Safety Coordinator Position Requirements Education:
Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you reside. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other healthcare-related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
5 years of Clinical Experience required. 2-3 years of experience in managing, leading, facilitating teams and/or projects Computer experience in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Publisher. Patient Safety Coordinator Position Schedule Exempt position, typically works day shift Monday- Friday. Hybrid work schedule (some remote work and some in person) 8 or 10 hour shifts available Patient Safety Coordinator Benefits At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
