at Quest Diagnostics Inc in Wood Dale, Illinois, United States Job Description Job Description The Senior Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives,will lead and coordinate complex integration and strategic programs for acquisitions and transformation initiatives within the specialty testing and laboratory services sector. This role focuses on driving cross-functional collaboration, managing multiple integration projects, and ensuring alignment with GMW strategic objectives while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
Work Schedule:
Hybrid (3 days Onsite, 2 days work from Home)
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end integration programs for multiple M&A transactions, ensuring seamless transitions and successful realization of operational and financial synergies. Lead end-to-end business transformation projects, managing cross-functional initiatives, implementing technology, and ensuring sustainable change management Coordinate cross-functional teams-spanning clinical, operational, IT, finance, and commercial functions-in a matrix environment to ensure alignment and efficient execution of integration initiatives. Oversee program timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and deliverables to maintain structured and timely project progress. Identify and mitigate risks related to laboratory operations, compliance, and patient impact, proactively addressing challenges as they arise. Drive communication and change management strategies to support employees, clinicians, and stakeholders throughout the process, minimizing disruption to patient care. Provide regular program status updates and detailed reporting to senior leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities Manage multiple strategic programs ensuring coordination and alignment across teams and functions. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and steering committees to maintain stakeholder engagement and decision-making momentum. Maintain issue and risk logs, escalating critical issues to senior management and driving resolution. Support process mapping and optimization efforts for laboratory and operational workflows. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP) and internal quality management systems throughout program activities.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
Minimum 7-10 years of program and project management experience, preferably within healthcare, specialty diagnostics, or clinical laboratory environments. Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional programs, ideally in PMO and M&A contexts. Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory operations, regulatory compliance, and quality management systems is highly preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead matrixed teams and engage diverse stakeholders. Strategic thinker with the ability to align program execution with organizational goals and patient care priorities.
Knowledge and Skills:

Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Pay Range:
$125,000 - $155,000/ year Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
