Job Description

Patient Care Administrator Advantage Healthcare is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and patient-focused Patient Care Administrator to join our leadership team. This is a key leadership position within our practice that requires exceptional communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding patient experience. The ideal candidate will serve as the direct assistant to the Practice Owner while overseeing patient care coordination, insurance management, and the day-to-day administrative operations that ensure our practice runs efficiently. This individual must be able to think critically, multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and confidently support both patients and staff.
Primary Responsibilities Hours:
M/W 7am-1pm 3pm-6pm T/Th 8am-1pm 3pm-6pm F- 7am-1pm Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Practice Administration Serve as the direct assistant to the Practice Owner, assisting with the daily operations of the practice. Provide support, guidance, and training to team members while serving as a resource for operational and clinical workflow questions. Assist with office management and help ensure efficient operations across both Advantage Healthcare locations. Collaborate with providers and staff to continually improve patient care, workflow efficiency, and the overall patient experience. Patient Care Coordination Oversee and coordinate patient treatment plans at both Advantage Healthcare locations. Monitor patient progress and ensure treatment plans are followed appropriately. Educate patients regarding their diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and plan of care. Serve as the primary point of contact for patient questions regarding their treatment plans. Promote patient compliance by ensuring appointments and treatment schedules are maintained. Deliver exceptional customer service while building trust and long-term relationships with patients. Insurance & Prior Authorizations Review and explain insurance benefits and coverage to patients in a clear, accurate, and professional manner. Perform insurance benefit verifications for all new patients. Obtain prior authorizations for treatments and services as needed. A minimum of two (2) years of experience obtaining prior authorizations within a medical practice is required. Maintain accurate documentation related to insurance, authorizations, and patient records while ensuring compliance with practice policies. Leadership Serve as a trusted resource for patients, providers, and team members. Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality at all times. Help foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered culture. Assist with staff training, problem-solving, and operational support as needed. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting. Minimum of 2 years of medical insurance experience (educational training does not count toward the experience requirement). Minimum of 2 years of experience obtaining prior authorizations within a medical practice. Strong understanding of medical insurance, benefit verification, and prior authorization processes. Experience in patient care coordination, healthcare administration, or case management is strongly preferred. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office applications.
