Coordinator of Small Animal Surgery Laboratories Department DeBusk Vet Teaching Center Position Category Staff Full Time Job Description The Coordinator of Small Animal Surgery Laboratories will work closely with designated faculty, technicians, and students to facilitate the delivery of small animal surgical laboratories and clinical activities under the direction of the designated faculty. This technician will oversee coordination and assist in supervision of surgery labs; oversee maintenance and repair of surgical equipment, instruments, and anesthesia machines; and maintain a highly organized and functional operating space. Coordination of these laboratories might include organization of resources including animals, scheduling student care workers and student patient care shifts, student surgery groups, equipment, and consumables for laboratories. They will manage the ordering of medical supplies, medications, and consumables for the surgical facilities at the DVTC. Required Qualifications

• A.S. or A.A.S. in Veterinary Medical Technology;
• current Virginia license in the required discipline;
• in good professional standing. Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of one-year clinical experience in various settings;
