RESPONSIBILITIES
The Clinical Director/Program Manager is responsible for the coordination of the A&D residential / therapeutic services, making sure all documentation is completed, and providing professional development for staff on the units. The position provides quality youth care, and close intensive supervision of staff and adolescent clients in a residential setting. In addition, this position is responsible for providing and overseeing a range of residential assessments, treatment planning, support groups, individual and family therapy, skills training, and lectures for the educational purpose of the enhanced substance abuse program. This position will oversee the tracking and reporting of adolescent's treatment progress and will provide appropriate staff leadership. The Clinical Director/Program Manager will facilitate referrals and oversee all admissions and manage multiple priorities and program components. This position may be part of ratio during business hours as needed for youth/staff ratio compliance and in ratio for emergency/crisis situations as needed. Clinical Director/Program Manager will approve all work schedules and will monitor all of the staff's time to ensure there is no overtime within the department without prior approval. Ensure that all programs under Clinical Director's supervision are compliant with licensing, COA and DCS standards. This position will rotate Agency on call for all programs and serve as the on-call person in charge for the entire agency when needed. The role of the Director/Program Manager is to understand the principal method for monitoring the treatment model and ensuring the quality of care for substance abuse treatment, CSEM treatment, and supervision of the treatment, staff and adolescents. Director/Manager will be familiar with and have an understanding of addiction that includes treatment knowledge, understand terms, and concepts that are related to the theory, etiology, research, and practice. Director/Manager must be knowledgeable about the continuum of care, foster care and the social context that affects the treatment, recovery process, and participate in weekly DCS and treatment team meetings. Director/Manager will provide individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents and families in the absence of clinical staff, or as needed, and must have the ability to communicate oral and written information clearly. Director/Manager must communicate with supervisors to convey pertinent A&D treatment, program issues or any concerns about the Agency. Director/Manager will oversee assessments, treatment plans, contact notes, discharge plans, and supervise all treatment components for adolescents on the units. The Clinical Director will be responsible for coordination of treatment team, treatment direction on the units, and adherence to the treatment model. The Clinical Director will oversee all clinical staff and ensure that all treatment components are being met for the clients. Manager will establish a QA process for adherence to documentation and audit guidelines. Director/Manager will provide 24/7 on-call crisis intervention, and screen admissions for the agency and make placements. This position may be part of ratio during business hours as needed for youth/staff ratio compliance and in ratio for emergency/crisis situations as assigned by management. Director/Manager will identify and educate staff about the influence that a client's culture, lifestyle, gender, and any other relevant factors may have on behavior and treatment. Director/Manager will ensure that necessary documentation related to adolescents' progress, plans for transition, engagement of family, and treatment goals is completed in a timely manner. Director/Manager must understand and apply specific agency policies and procedures for handling crisis and/or dangerous situations, including safety measures for adolescents and staff, and ensure that Administrator is aware of such situations. Director/Manager will track and approve all work schedules/shifts for the program. It will be the duty of the Clinical Director to monitor adherence to the schedules and ensure that no staff accrue overtime unless it was approved prior. Director/Manager will be responsible for Placement rotation for the entire agency. Director/Manager will communicate with all placement personnel statewide in order to keep census full in Crittenton Youth Services and Youth Summit of Recovery. Director/Manager will be responsible for the interviewing and hiring of staff as outlined by the agency manual. Director/Manager will lead TX team and ensure all documentation is signed and completed in the electronic health records. Position is responsible for auditing all documentation to ensure compliance with all auditing bodies. Director/Manager will provide supervision to all clinical staff and will give week feedback on how they may improve the quality of care provided to youth. Will ensure that staff are trained and are complying to provide a trauma informed environment. Director/Manager will rotate and serve as on call for the entire agency in the absence of VP. Director/Manager will perform other related duties as assigned or required for the success of the unit. Participate in PQI/Risk Management meetings Provide 24/7 on call.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree from an accredited graduate school of Social Work or Social Service field or higher degree in a related field, preferably minimum of three to five years in a related field, preferably a minimum of three years of supervisor experience in a social welfare agency, and the ability to work comfortably and satisfactorily within the framework of the established policies of the agency. LPC or LCSW license is required. Knowledge and experience with adolescents with alcohol and drug issues, as well as dual diagnosis. Must be at least 24 years old and hold a valid Driver's License due to auto insurance carrier requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to participate in the physical aspects of Handle with Care restraint training and actual application as required Must be able to perform CPR/First Aid processes Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written) Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and climb stairs Able to run, jump, squat, bend, and stoop as needed related to program needs Apply keyboarding abilities for extended periods Able to travel as required by auto, plane, etc. Lift up to 40 pounds Work extended hours as needed or required (>40 per week)
