Ensures quality and continuity of Stroke Center patients. Responsible for recruitment and retention, performance review, and professional development; involved in the budget formulation process and quality outcomes; and helps to plan for, organize, and lead the delivery of nursing care for a designated patient care area. A leader that communicates organizational vision and values and asks for the involvement of the work group to achieve target performance in quality, safety, service, efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications Education Bachelors Nursing- Required Masters Nursing- Preferred Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee Experience Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensure, Certification, Registration ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support RN Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee or Multi-State Compact License Additional License/Cert/Registration Info BLS Basic Life Support Comments ASLS Preferred Prefer neuro focused specialty certification (CNRN, SCRN, NVRN-BC, ASC-BC). Willingness to commit to achieve specialty certification after hire will be considered. Skill and Description Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical/business periodicals, professional journals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, etc. Mathematical Skills Skill and Description Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as decimals, interest, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts or basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability and Description Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Skills and Abilities Computer literacy Ability to use and manage a clinical database Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Knowledge of Microsoft Word Equipment Multi-line telephone
