Job Description

Director of Behavioral Health Amarillo, TX Area A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced leader of our behavioral health / clinical services line to guide and support its clinical programming and care teams. This leadership position plays a key role in overseeing therapeutic services, supporting clinical staff, and helping ensure effective coordination of care.
Director of Behavioral Health Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and support to clinical team members across therapeutic disciplines Assist with oversight of clinical programming and service delivery Offer consultation and support related to treatment planning, clinical documentation, and patient progress tracking Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support coordinated care efforts Participate in reviewing clinical documentation and care plans to promote consistency and quality Provide mentorship and professional guidance to clinical staff as needed Contribute to ongoing program development and quality improvement efforts Help support adherence to professional practice standards and applicable regulations Director of Behavioral Health Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work or related behavioral health field Active professional licensure required Experience supporting clinical teams, programs, or service delivery within a healthcare or behavioral health environment preferred Familiarity with treatment planning, documentation standards, and collaborative care models Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced care environment
