Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Advocate/Quality Coordinator to support a positive patient experience while contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. This role serves as a liaison between patients, families, and hospital staff, helping to resolve concerns, protect patient rights, and identify opportunities for service excellence and process improvement. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, skilled problem solver, and patient-centered professional who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Patient Advocacy & Complaint Resolution Serve as an advocate for patients and families throughout their care experience. Conduct daily patient rounds to proactively identify and address concerns. Receive, investigate, document, and manage patient complaints and grievances. Facilitate communication between patients, families, providers, and hospital departments. Coordinate timely resolutions and follow-up activities. Maintain confidential documentation of complaints, investigations, and outcomes. Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements for grievance management. Escalate complex concerns or potential legal issues when appropriate. Provide updates on significant patient concerns to hospital leadership. Quality Improvement Track and analyze complaint and grievance trends. Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement process improvements. Assist with collecting, analyzing, and reporting quality and performance improvement data. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance improvement reports. Participate in initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction, quality, and safety outcomes. Compliance & Incident Reporting Assist with the review and reconciliation of incident reports. Maintain data within electronic reporting systems and databases. Support compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements. Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience Minimum one (1) year of experience in healthcare, patient advocacy, customer service, risk management, quality improvement, or a related field strongly preferred. Hospital or behavioral healthcare experience strongly preferred. Certifications Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Handle With Care (HWC) certification. Required Skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in sensitive situations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic reporting systems. Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
