The Patient Care Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff. This position requires an individual who is organized, empathetic, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing medical records, assisting with patient inquiries, and supporting the overall patient care process. As the first point of contact for patients, the Patient Care Coordinator will help facilitate a positive patient experience from initial contact through follow-up care. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule patient appointments and follow-ups efficiently to optimize clinic workflow. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing timely information. Manage patient medical records with accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Assist patients with insurance information, billing questions, and authorization processes. Monitor patient flow and coordinate care transitions to minimize wait times and enhance experience. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in healthcare administration preferred. Proven experience in healthcare coordination, patient services, or related fields. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard office software. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Compassionate and patient-focused attitude with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
