Position Summary The Medical Receptionist & Patient Engagement Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for our patients and is essential to creating an outstanding patient experience. This position combines traditional front office responsibilities with assisting in the clinic's social media presence and community engagement. Duties & Responsibilities Welcome patients with a friendly, professional attitude. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments. Check patients in and out efficiently. Verify patient demographics Collect and process payments. Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Scan and upload patient documents. Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to maintain efficient patient flow. Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming. Assist with general administrative duties as assigned. Capture photos and videos of office activities, providers, and promotions when appropriate. Create and post engaging content on the clinic's Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms. Assist with marketing campaigns, community events, and patient engagement initiatives. Help promote services, specials, and office events while maintaining the our brand. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous medical receptionist or healthcare office experience preferred. Customer service experience required. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred. Knowledge of scheduling is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required. Experience with Canva or other basic graphic design platforms is a plus. Skills & Abilities Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent attention to detail. Dependable with outstanding attendance and punctuality. Ability to work in a fast-paced medical office. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and EMR systems. Social media savvy with experience using Facebook, Instagram, and similar platforms. Comfortable creating photos, videos, reels, and engaging social media content using a smartphone. Creative mindset with the ability to contribute marketing ideas. Professional online presence and understanding of appropriate healthcare marketing. Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Working Conditions Professional outpatient medical office. Frequent interaction with patients, providers, and staff. Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and excellent time management. Daily use of computers, phones, and office equipment. Physical & Mental Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally. Manual dexterity for typing and operating office equipment. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to remain calm, courteous, and efficient during busy periods.
